What Does the Media Team Aim to Do?

The Cooper Center improves Virginia state and local governments through various forms of public service. The 8 units of the center focus on different aspects of public service including providing reliable demographics data, training leaders, informing politicians, and performing unbiased survey research. The media team tells stories of public service by creating engaging video, audio, and written articles. The team is comprised of enterprising UVA students and Charlottesville locals who want to develop their craft of creating digital content while communicating meaningful and thought provoking stories about the dedicated public servants of the Weldon Cooper Center.
